My tag says "Damaged"

I've been told that I have champagne taste on a wine box budget, and it's very true. I was always taught to accept nothing but the best and to put out nothing but my best. So, that's why I'm constantly stressing and worrying about doing my absolute best in everything that I do. My mom always told me not to marry a man if he can't buy me da beers diamonds, mickey moto pearls, and godiva chocolate, and as you can see I'm still single. Not by choice, I add; I just have extremely high standards. And they aren't just high in the husband category, it's all across the board. Every time I go shopping I make sure to say away from those dreaded items that have the red mark of shame on them; "DAMAGED." Why? Oh come on, sure they are discounted, but who wants something that's damaged, broken, and unwanted? I certainly don't, you have to be careful with them, making sure not to damage it more, because then it just gets thrown away. You end up wasting your money.

We are a lot like those clothes; damaged, broken, and unwanted. And that dreaded red mark of shame? That's our sin. Most feel like they are unworthy of love or forgiveness, I know I do most days. But there's an compassionate and forgiving God that stretches His arm out to pull us up out of the darkness that is trying to engulf us. He brings us to the lowest points in our life, so that we will be able to share with others His mighty love and power. Often time we think to ourselves that God is punishing us, or ask why this keeps happening to us. Instead we should ask how God is going to use this. To God, we are perfect and spotless. Undamaged and completely wanted by Him. He loves us so much, that He sent His one and only son to be hated and shamed by the world, then bared our sins, and died on a cross for us. He paid the ultimate price for us. Why? Because He loves us that much. God only asks' one thing from us; to share The Gospel with others, so that they will accept Him into their heart and have eternal life in Heaven.

I am damaged, I come from a damaged home, and my life is the polar opposite of perfect. I'm even incomplete in the inside, because of a few surgeries. But, in Gods eyes, I am the daughter of the One True Kind, His princess, and perfect in every single way imaginable.

"Therefore we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, out inner person is being renewed day by day. For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory. So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." ~2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave.."
~Philippians 2:7

"Consider it great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing." ~James 1:2-4

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord!' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven. On that day many will say to Me, 'Lord, Lord didn't we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name?' Then I will announce to them, 'I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!'" ~Matthew 7:21-23
